The Lion and the Mouse
One afternoon a Lion was sleeping in a forest. A playful little Mouse climbed on the foot of the sleeping Lion.
The Lion woke up and angrily grabbed the Mouse and yelled, "You're going to be a good snack for me today."
The Mouse pleaded, “Forgive me. I accidentally climbed on you. If you don't kill me today, someday I will repay you my gratitude.”
"How can a small creature like you help me?" the Lion mocked the Mouse. Still, it let the Mouse go.
A while later, the Lion was caught in a hunter’s net. The trapped Lion roared loudly.
The Mouse followed the sounds and discovered the Lion trapped in a net made of ropes. Although scared at first, the Mouse was determined to keep his promise.
Using his sharp teeth, the Mouse made a hole in the net. And so the great Lion was set free by the little Mouse.
