Once upon a time, there lived a Fox in a dense forest along with many other animals. The Fox always thought that it was fun to trick other animals.
There was also a clever Stork that lived in the same forest. The Stork was well-respected by all the animals. The cunning Fox, who could not bear this, planned to deceive the Stork somehow.

One day the Stork was walking by the Fox’s place.
The Fox called out to the Stork and said, “Friend! I have heard of your knowledge. I want to invite you to a party tomorrow. Can you join?”.
“I’d gladly join your party” replied the Stork.

The next day, the Fox made some delicious soup.
That evening the Stork went to the Fox's place. As planned, the Fox served the soup in two wide plates. The Stork could not drink the soup from the wide plate because of his long beak.
The Fox licked and finished the soup and asked, "Friend, I made this soup just for you. How was it?”
Although the Stork realized that he had been tricked, he said to the Fox, “The soup was very tasty!”
The Stork said to the Fox, "It's going to be night soon and I’d better go home now."

Before leaving, the Stork said “Today you gave me a feast! In return, can you come to my place for dinner tomorrow?”.
“Sure, I will be happy to!” replied the Fox.
The Fox went to sleep happily with the pride that he had deceived the Stork. The Stork flew away hungry and sad.

The next day the Stork planned to teach the Fox a lesson. The Stork caught some fish and made a delicious dinner.
That evening the Fox went to the Stork's house. When the Fox arrived, the Stork served the fish in two jars with a narrow neck. The food had an appetizing smell and the Fox could not wait to eat the tasty feast.

The Stork could easily get at the food with his long beak, but all the Fox could do was to lick the outside of the jar, and sniff at the delicious smell.
The Stork looked at the Fox and asked “How do you like the fish?". Though the Fox realized he had been deceived, he replied “Very nice! I have never eaten such tasty fish in my life!”

The Fox thanked the Stork for the feast and walked away sad and hungry.
It was then the Fox realized how upset other animals would have gotten when he tricked them. From that day onward, the Fox never deceived anyone.
✰Moral: Treat others the same way you want to be treated.
